Wow! It's been a long time since my last posting. This summer was really great since I got to spend 2.5 months in Russia with my parents, my middle sister and her babies, and my little sister. I have travelled to different cities, visited my relatives, and attended a few weddings.
Now I'm back to school. I already started my clinical practice in hospital on the surgery floor. Over the past 4 weeks I have had a good experience with various health conditions. I have questioned myself many time if I really wanted to work at the hospital. I still don't know the answer. Sometimes I love it because of the variety of the people and situations I see. Sometimes I just don't like the hospital environment and working conditions. I also do recognize how much I help those people at that very moment and they do appreciate it. There was this older man that I cared for one day. He had cirrhosis of liver, I enjoyed working with him, chatting with him, and caring for him. I went home, I researched more about cirrhosis of liver and transplants, and I've learned a lot too. I went next day with the enthusiasm to tell him everything I read about his condition, but to my disappointment he was transfered to another floor. I felt sad that I wasn't able to see him and wish him good luck on waiting for his transplant. However, I wish him that anyway and I think he'll get.
So the stories like this make me want to be there with those people!!!

Discovery of a very interesting BOOK!!!
Yesterday I had a very strange and interesting day! It was supposed to be my first day at my new job as PSW. I was supposed to visit one old lady for 3 hours, but the lady didn't want anybody for the weekend, so I ended up in the down town, going back to the bus stop. I decided to go through the mall's cosmetic department to see if my friend was there, she works there. I was happy to see her because we haven't seen each other for a while.
We had a good chat about current events in our lives and then we went to Chapters(book store). She told me about Kevin Trudeau, the writer of several books about natural cures. Since we both like to read about natural ways to deal with all kinds of illnesses and diseases, we LOVE to talk about new things we read or hear. One of our favorite topics is the WEIGHT LOSS, of course. After her very interesting story about his writings on this topic, she showed me his books in Chapters and I bought one " "Natural Cures" They Don't Want You To Know About".
I started reading the book in the bus on the way back home. I loved it and at the same time I felt so sad!!! Even though I just started, I already feel that he is right about American Drug Industry and Health Care. He says (I'm citing his words) in his Acknowledgment,

"I would like to thank the Federal Trade Commission and
the Food and Drug Administration for being a direct
inspiration to me to write this book and expose the corruption
in both of these organizations. Your personal attacks on me and other people,
shows to the world just how corrupt you are and that you must be stopped.
... I will personally help to stop the needless suffering of millions of people that you are
directly causing. "
When I read this, I was shocked!!! I feel better about Canada, though. Since I am a student nurse, I am exposed to a lot of information about our health care system. I had one lecture about Drug Administration in Canada and US. The professor was telling us that In Canada, our government banned commercials about drugs unlike US, where Television is occupied by those scary drugs commercials!!! I personally know that because i have US channels and I feel so bad for US citizens and health care professionals. People watch it and think those are the potential cures, but in reality it is the cause of their diseases!!! However, a lot of drug companies keep pushing Canadian Government to allow commercials!!! I am so against that and I hope it will never happen!!! People will suffer and Drug companies will prosper- NOT FAIR!!!!
In conclusion, I am eager to read about his opinions and his proposal of the ways to cure all the diseas and to stay healthy all life!!! I am ready to stay healthy and I do not want to consume any drugs or undergo any surgeries. I am for prevention of all the illnesses, but I guess it is not the advantage to our governments and drug companies!!!!

1st Posting! About my blog!
Wow!!! I was thinking about starting blogging for a while, but only after final exams I can use some time for myself.
I decided to make this blog about my goals, achievenemts, and events. So far, I have been able to achieve almost every goal that I have set up for myself. However, it is never enough for me :). I can never stop because, I think, there is no limit; we should push ourselves to strive for the best in our lives. I especially like the feeling that I get from the results; whether it is a new job with a better pay, school assignment, or simply a planned trip (especially backhome:).
May be because I am very sensitive to other people's prosperity in life, family, relationshp, and career, I always have those people in mind, and always think that I can do that too!!! Those people inspire me and that motivates me to strive for more and more!!! I really want to be successful in my family, education, and career developments and I'm sure I will because I'm already working hard on it! So I want this blog to be, sort of, a little diary of my plans, achievements, and new ideas!!! Who knows, maybe one day I decide to write a book, and then this blog will be very handy :)!!!
