Wow! It's been a long time since my last posting. This summer was really great since I got to spend 2.5 months in Russia with my parents, my middle sister and her babies, and my little sister. I have travelled to different cities, visited my relatives, and attended a few weddings.
Now I'm back to school. I already started my clinical practice in hospital on the surgery floor. Over the past 4 weeks I have had a good experience with various health conditions. I have questioned myself many time if I really wanted to work at the hospital. I still don't know the answer. Sometimes I love it because of the variety of the people and situations I see. Sometimes I just don't like the hospital environment and working conditions. I also do recognize how much I help those people at that very moment and they do appreciate it. There was this older man that I cared for one day. He had cirrhosis of liver, I enjoyed working with him, chatting with him, and caring for him. I went home, I researched more about cirrhosis of liver and transplants, and I've learned a lot too. I went next day with the enthusiasm to tell him everything I read about his condition, but to my disappointment he was transfered to another floor. I felt sad that I wasn't able to see him and wish him good luck on waiting for his transplant. However, I wish him that anyway and I think he'll get.
So the stories like this make me want to be there with those people!!!
